While this site focuses on instrumental music I can’t help but feel a classical ukulele site would not be complete without including the fabulous ukulele playing, Operatic duo of Mandi Harkett and George Bartle! I’ve seen Opera-lele performing 3 times now and they just get better every performance. Not that they weren’t brilliant the 1st time I saw them when they burst onto the scene at The Grand Northern Ukulele Festival in 2016. In a short time Opera-lele has become one of the most loved acts on the British ukulele scene. Performing works from operas and musicals Opera-lele have created their very own unique and innovative ukulele genre. George and Mandi might be serious, classically trained musicians but their on-stage banter is hilarious!
